Instructor: Tim Shea Room 303 Email: [email protected] (best option) Phone: 973-228-1200 x 821 This course is a top-level course which will build off of students previous knowledge from CAD1 and CAD 2 while introducing them to the Autodesk Revit program. Students will be taught how to use the program by progressing through a project and creating the necessary documents needed in order to build it. Students will become familiar with the different phases of project design, construction, as well as get a better understanding of typical office standards and practice. Once students are comfortable using the Revit program they will engage in a series of simulated, real-life, design projects.This course is designed for students considering careers in an architectural or engineering field and hopes to encourage them to take additional, more advanced classes. Students will do the majority of their work in the classroom. Because of the size of the Revit and CAD programs, it cannot be loaded on the students’ Chromebooks and the students must use the desktop PCs in the classroom. Therefore, there will be very little homework for this class with the exception of some non-Inventor related assignments. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be able to:
